Boston Networks is a Managed IT Services Provider that specializes in all-inclusive technology outsourcing. We provide IT support by phone and chat, technical consulting, and security / compliance solutions.


Position
We are looking for a Full-Time Support Technician that will be stationed at one of our clients full time. The client is a pharmaceutical company in Waltham, MA. This position requires both customer service skills as well as technical skills. Both are equally as important


The primary responsibilities of the technician will be interacting with users in-person, gaining knowledge of the problem, and working with customer to resolve.

Detailed documentation will be required throughout the lifecycle of the ticket, as well as ownership and responsibility for seeing it through to completion.


Additional responsibilities are:

  • Training on and working with Networking, Microsoft Azure, and advanced technologies like AI
  • Setting up new computers
  • Completing certifications and training to advance knowledge and skillset

Preferred Experience
Experience at another MSP (Managed Service Provider) is a plus


Experience with the following is a plus:

  • Firewalls/Routers
  • Sharepoint/Teams Administation
  • Ethernet crimping/testing


  • Ticketing Systems

  • Connectwise/Continuum

Other Requirements
Attention to detail, organization, punctuality, and most importantly professionalism over the phone
Must have a working car and a valid driver's license
Must have a working telephone
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Must be authorized to work in the US

Must be able to work on a ladder and lift 50 pounds
