Description

The East German Lung Center (ODLZ) is formed by the Coswig Specialist Hospital and the Dresden University Hospital. The thoracic surgery department of ODLZ is led by Professor Till Plönes at both locations.

ODLZ is one of the largest regional centers for thoracic surgery in East Germany and serves large parts of Saxony and the neighboring states.

We are a certified lung cancer center by the German Cancer Society (DKG), a competence center of the German Society for Thoracic Surgery (DGT), and a weaning center according to the German Society for Pneumology and Respiratory Medicine (DGP).

We are also a treatment partner of the certified sarcoma center at the Dresden University Hospital.

We cover the entire spectrum of thoracic surgery and perform 1,000 operations annually at the Coswig Specialist Hospital and 400 operations (including robotic surgery) at the Dresden University Hospital.

Both locations have ECMO capacities. Overall, there is a high proportion of complex operations.

We are currently seeking a Physician Assistant (m/f/d) for thoracic surgery to expand our capacities at the Coswig Specialist Hospital.
