The Opportunity:
When a user tries a new system, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful information systems—and that means rigorous testing. That's why we need you, an experienced quality assurance analyst who knows how to thoroughly test software and ensure that our team releases the best system possible.
As a Quality Assurance expert on our team, you'll work with testers, developers, and engineers in an agile environment evaluating software development projects. You'll evaluate integration of systems and ensure aggregation of subsystems function together so that the system is able to deliver the overarching functionality. You'll build test plans with test cases based on requirements. You'll create test documentation to support verification and validation of engineering and production releases. You'll work with System Administrators and Network Engineers on standing up Test environments and ensuring environments are ready for testing to commence. You'll build upon existing test scripts to create regression tests to ensure new development did not affect overall functionality. You'll generate data and execute test cases to see how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. You'll work with systems engineers in the development of test processes and documentation, including Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Inspection Reports, Systems Operational Verification and Validation, or Production Readiness documents. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172, annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
