DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


  • This County Casework Manager 1 position oversees County Casework Supervisors and assists with the planning, development, and modification of programs, policies, and practices

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring, evaluating, and coordinating work in each operational unit.
  • Representing the agency in the absence of the Administrator, on boards and with community services organizations, and while attending or testifying at hearings.
  • Ensuring that services are provided in accordance with objectives, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures as well as case management and social services principles and practices.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of policies, practices, and standards.
  • Performing administrative and supervisory functions to include assisting in the preparation of the annual plan, budget, studies, and correspondence as well as training new supervisors and making recommendations regarding personnel actions and the selection of applicants for positions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Fulltime employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday
  • Friday, with a 30minute lunch.
  • This position is scheduled for oncall and overtime as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:


QUALIFICATIONS:


Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • Three years of experience in public or private social work which included one year in a public welfare program and one year in a supervisory capacity; and a bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences;
    or:
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:


  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
  • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
