    WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

    The Manufacturing Engineer III ensures that production processes are consistently available and effectively utilizes best manufacturing engineering practices to develop equipment and tooling to optimize manufacturing productivity. This position oversees the tooling department, which is key to designing new tooling required for productivity improvements.

    • Applies sound engineering principals to support manufacturing engineering including machine design & modifications, controls upgrades, integrating automation where appropriate and capital equipment introductions.
    • Works with operations, quality and engineering to develop new tooling and fixtures, and directs tooling department work load
    • Develops, writes, and executes capital equipment requests and manages project installation and qualification.
    • Supports development of new manufacturing capabilities via Advanced Manufacturing principles that improve quality and productivity.
    • Actively participates in the facility's daily Gemba process to assure alignment of operational priorities with ME activities.
    • Support EHS department as needed to maintain compliance with local and corporate requirements

    YOU HAVE:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
    • 3+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment with emphasis on Manufacturing Engineering, maintenance, tool design & management.
    • Working knowledge of design principles such as FMEA, DFM/DFA, SolidWorks and GD&T
    • Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
