    We are seeking an experienced individual to join their team as the Director of Compliance & Underwriting. This candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the formation of their Compliance Department, managing and training a new team, and developing compliance standards and procedures. They will also spearhead efforts to assess and enhance the underwriting processes nationwide to increase efficiency and streamline operations.

    Here are some key responsibilities for this role:

    • Lead the Compliance Department, including hiring, training, and managing a team of compliance professionals
    • Develop and implement comprehensive compliance standards, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance considerations into business processes, product development, and strategic initiatives
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory requirements and industry trends, providing guidance and training to employees at all levels of the organization
    • Oversee the underwriting process across the organization, identifying opportunities to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall customer experience
    • Analyze underwriting data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for optimization, making data-driven recommendations to senior management
