  • The Recreation Therapy Assistant aids residents in creating and providing opportunity to increase their quality of life through planning and implementing a wide variety of therapeutic activities in group settings or on a 1:1 basis.
  • FTE_
  • Part time: every other weekend 9:004:00pm and two evenings per week 5:157:15pm.
  • Job Standards_
  • 1. Individuals pursuing a health care degree and those passionate about making change for older adults encouraged to apply.
2. High School Diploma/GED preferred.
3. Knowledge of community resources as they relate to leisure/recreation opportunities for older adults.
4. Experience in assessing and responding to individual leisure/recreation needs.
5. Creativity in implementing and carrying out activities.
6. Strong written and oral communication skills.
7. Excellent organizational skills.
9. Valid driver's license.
10. Flexibility to work occasional day hours.
11.

Ability to safely perform essential functions of the job without harm to self or others with or without reasonable accommodation.
