    Job Description

    The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing monthly journal entries, reconciling accounts, documenting business transactions, and maintaining month end financials reporting directly to the Controller.

    STAFF ACCOUNTANT JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prepare and post Journal entries monthly to the General Ledger for a given accounting period.
    • Review and post accounts payables as well as own the AP process.
    • Identify and research variances or unexplained items on the Income Statement and changes on the Balance Sheet, make adjusting entries and reclasses as appropriate based on analysis.
    • Prepare the Financial Statement package within necessary time lines.
    • Prepare account reconciliations as well as bank reconciliations.

    STAFF ACCOUNTANT EDUCATION:

    • A Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related discipline is required.
    • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) a must.
    • Strong Excel skills a plus.
    • Excellent analytical and communication skills with a willingness to establish, upgrade and implement new processes.

    BENEFITS & SALARY RANGE:

    • Pay range $65k - $85k
    • Unlimited PTO
