Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator Operator to join our team As a key member of our shredder operations, you will be responsible for efficiently handling and manoeuvring materials using skid steer equipment.

Schedule: Monday - Friday / 6:00AM - 3:00PM

Pay Range: $ $24.00 Per Hour DOE + Full Benefit Package, Health Insurance and 401K Company Matches

Operating excavator machinery to move and process scrap metal materials within the shredder department
Sorting and segregating various types of metals using appropriate attachments on the skid steer
Loading and unloading materials from trucks, containers, and processing equipment
Maintaining a clean and organized (yard) work area to ensure safety and efficiency
Assisting in general maintenance tasks for equipment and facility upkeep during any downtime

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Excavator Operator in a heavy industrial setting is a MUST
Previous general labour experience required
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
Comfortable working outdoors in various types of weather (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc)
Ability to work in a noisy and dusty, heavy industrial setting
