    Job Description



    PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

    Under direct supervision, performs a variety of routine activities related to receiving, distributing and delivering campus mail, deliveries and general supplies. Performs basic clerical duties including sorting, copying, form completion, as required for activities of department.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    1. Sorts and delivers mail for campus
    2. Reproduces (copies) for variety of departments, based on written request forms
    3. Maintains copy equipment; contacts vendor when repairs required
    4. Prepares mailings
    5. Establishes and maintains order in copy center and mailroom
    6. Performs a variety of general clerical duties to support the department as required; may include maintaining basic inventories, processing standard forms and documents, compiling simple statistics
    7. May act as courier on campus as necessary

    PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

    The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

    WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:

    • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
    • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
    • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or GED

    Hourly Pay Rate is $9.83.
