    Summary Objective:
    $200 Sign-On BonusThe Membership Manager is responsible for retaining current members and producing consistent monthly sales of new memberships to surpass all goals and expectations. Membership Managers must display, have knowledge of and participate in company services, programs, and products and must be knowledgeable of current industry trends and competitors. Membership Managers also should be prepared to serve as Manager on Duty when a GM or AGM is not on site and they may be responsible for overseeing a department in their home club.


    Essential Functions:
    Deliver the ultimate fitness experience to every member, every timeRecruit and retain new club membersAttain membership sales and revenue goalsRecruit, hire, mentor, discipline, and manage staff in any assigned departmentCreate and manage monthly or weekly schedule for assigned departmentImplement all department standard operating proceduresMeet, greet, and work the floor during select timesServe as Manager on Duty as assigned

    Job Responsibilities:
    Respond to membership inquiries and schedule appointments dailyAcquire point of sale referrals from every new memberConduct tours for scheduled appointments and prospectsComplete all membership paperwork and daily reports in an accurate and timely mannerGenerate leads through in-club marketing and businesses within the communitySend thank-you notes and guest passes to new members within 48 hours of joiningEnter new members in appropriate tracking system and schedule Smart Starts or other integration programsTrack leads, appointments, and prospect interests in appropriate systemsMarket club to organizations and corporationsServe as Manager on Duty as assignedAttend all required meetings and trainingsParticipate in continuing education to boost personal performanceRespond to all member questions or concerns within 48 hoursCoordinate staff meetings for assigned department on a regular basisCommunicate club activities and procedures to assigned department staffTrack all point-of-sale interactions with members for successful completionCreate employee schedules and track time and attendance of all employees within assigned departmentVerify and approve department payroll bi-monthly for assigned departmentReview and manage assigned department expenses and oversee budget complianceMaintain personnel files for all assigned department staffTrack inventory, order and restock items, and optimize inventory systemsPromote sale of pro shop items, drinks, and supplementsOversee and coordinate assigned department tasks including but not limited to vendor scheduling, charity donations, deposits, member giveaways, lost and found, vending machine requests, and additional tasks delegated by the General Manager or Assistant General Manager as needed to appropriately manage and operate assigned departmentAssist in day-to-day club operations as part of the management teamUnderstand and follow employee standards of conduct and ethicsUphold club building, facilities, service, program, and emergency proceduresAssume other duties as assignedWork morning, evening, and weekend shifts as necessaryRequired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skillsExcellent listening skillsStrong work ethic that includes punctuality, organization, and attention to detailAbility to maintain a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitudeOutwardly facing professional appearanceConfidence and desire to create new relationships quicklyAbility to quickly acquire and apply new knowledge and skillsWillingness to work flexible hoursDemonstrated selling skills, including cross-selling and upsellingAbility to work with moneyAbility to effectively enter and retrieve information from sales tracking systemsBasic computer skills (MS Office, email, MS Windows)

    Required Experience, Education & Certifications:
    High school diploma or GEDTwo years of experience in sales preferredCPR/AED Certification requiredJob Classification & Compensation: Salaried, Non-Exempt
