Come work with our small, majority female, crew in a fast-paced seafood market just outside of downtown Mystic, CT.While we are first and foremost a fresh seafood market, we do have a full commercial kitchen and offer an awesome made-to-order menu 5 days a week.
Fish & Chips, Clam Fritters, Fried Fish Sandwiches, hand-cut french fries, Lobster Rolls etc. We make all of our own chowders, grab-and-go meals, dips, sauces/marinades, and more. We run weekly raw bars and other catered events throughout the summer and are rapidly growing.We are looking for the right person to join our team and handle most of the kitchen/chef position responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Executing our madetoorder menu
- Prep/Line work meeting weekly par numbers
- Having proper time management and multitasking ability in a fastpaced kitchen is a MUST.
- Prepare grabandgo items, keeping the refrigerator stocked for retail.
- Ordering produce and doing inventory
- Seafood knowledge is preferred but not required
- Ability to shuck oysters, littlenecks, quahogs preferred but not required
- Being able to follow and execute recipes
- Sharing the task of dishwashing (we have a machine)
- Being a TEAM player and helping out where needed
