Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team.

As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, and maintaining accurate patient records.

This is a vital role in our healthcare organization, as it directly impacts the financial health of our practice.


Duties:


  • Review and verify medical documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Assign appropriate medical codes (e.g., ICD10, DRG) to procedures and diagnoses
  • Prepare and submit electronic or paper claims to insurance companies
  • Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, and appeal as necessary
  • Coordinate with insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies or issues
  • Maintain accurate patient records and billing information
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries or concerns
  • Stay uptodate with changes in medical coding regulations and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate billing practices

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
  • Proficient in medical coding systems (e.g., ICD10) and terminology
  • Knowledge of medical billing processes, including claim submission and reimbursement procedures
  • Familiarity with medical collection systems and practices
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare professionals

Note:
Certification in medical billing or related field is preferred but not required.

Pay:
$ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
