Your tasks

  • Creation of specifications for seat covers, foam parts and other sewing groups
  • Development of concepts taking into account quality, function, ergonomics, cost and weight aspects
  • Participation in the optimization or development of components, including the creation of necessary documentation and support for drawing creation in CATIA V5
  • Creation and processing of bills of materials in the PLM system (Siemens Teamcenter)
  • Conducting supplier identification in cooperation with suppliers in Germany and abroad
  • Development of prototypes from initial design to series maturity
  • Collaboration and technical consulting in interdisciplinary project teams
  • Control and coordination of component-specific tests
  • Coordination of external development suppliers using work packages

Your qualifications

  • Completed degree in textile, garment technology or textile management or a comparable qualification
  • Knowledge in the field of pattern making and industrial processing of textiles as well as in the area of trim & finish
  • Ideally experience in the field of aircraft seats, aircraft cabin or vehicle seats
  • Good knowledge in a CAD 3D system, preferably CATIA V5. Ideally experience in working with a PLM system
