- Excellent Organizational and presentation skills

- Solid Project management experience - scope & budget creation, timeline & execution
- Excellent Process Improvement skills - assess program elements, recommend & develop plan
- ISO Auditor training preferred
- Manage to local, state, and federal regulations
- Obtain and maintain permits, plans, and internal requirements
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the environmental (EMS) and Quality (QMS) systems, based on the ISO Environmental and Quality system models
- Complete and submit compliance reports to local, state, and federal agencies.
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, permits, and plans
- Ensure proper characterization, storage, and disposal of hazardous substances & waste
- Conduct routine compliance audits and AOP tactical plan - PPE, equipment, etc.
- Assess metrics to drive continuous improvement to determine if gaps are due to policy, training or execution
- Interact with regulatory agencies on information requests, inspections, and
- development activities
- Facilitate the inclusion of procedures and protocols into ISO 14001
- and ISO 9001 systems
- Maintain awareness of planned changes that may affect compliance
- requirements or performance such as new equipment and process changes
- Obtain permits as needed and ensure compliance to their regulatory
- requirements
- Serve as a resource for our corporate office or at other Interface facilities as needed
- Maintain IECR and PASS databases
- Maintain accurate, legible and well organized records of all projects, trials and necessary support data needed
- Willingness to confront unsafe acts in a positive way - be able to communicate and relate the unsafe behavior in human terms
- Contact outside vendors concerning raw materials, supplies, machinery or equipment as necessary to meet company needs. Must be able to evaluate and analyze each of these items as to their merit and usefulness in fulfilling our company and management initiatives
- Own employee recognition program to promote desired behaviors countywide
- Create a budget to include training, reward and recognition and materials to promote our risk adverse goals
- Lead Kaizen events to engage the workforce, drive good behavior and uncover unsafe conditions
- Maintain current training on relevant ISO documents
- Maintain housekeeping
- Positively promote safety & environmental rules & regulations
- Be aware of Safety Data Sheets
- Perform other duties as assigned

Description
Position summary:The Manager Environmental & Safety is responsible for the implementation, improvement, and continuous development of the company's safety initiatives to include: the Hazard Recognition & Control Program; the Behavior Based Safety Program; and the development, implementation and maintenance of the Environmental Compliance Program for Troup County.
Educational Requirements:
Science or Engineering Technology or related degree required.
Skills and experience:
Must be able to work in manufacturing environments, and be able to tour industrial facilities and climb ladders and stair as needed
40 hr. Haz Mat Certification will be required
Work environment:
Various facility environments, including those that are not climate controlled. Some travel required. (20%)
