Operator - Beaumont, United States - John Wood Group
Description
Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required- Monitor and control oil and gas production from assigned leases to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability.
- Conduct routine inspections of well sites, facilities, and equipment to ensure proper operation and maintenance.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of production, injection, and operating data for all wells.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including pumps, separators, and pipelines.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines related to oil and gas production.
- Coordinate with thirdparty service providers to ensure the safe and efficient completion of well maintenance and repair activities.
- Respond to emergency situations, such as spills or equipment malfunctions, in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain effective communication with supervisors, coworkers, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
- Experience with oilfield software (e.g., SCADA, CYGNET, eVin) is preferred.
- SAP Experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of oil and gas production equipment and processes
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with other operators, supervisors, and management.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and be oncall as required.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check and drug test.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments in various weather conditions.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs and work at heights.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and wear personal protective equipment as required.
