Overview:
We are looking for
Facility Manager to join our Aurora, IL Keen Transport team

This position is responsible for maintaining the high quality of all services with equipment processing and storage services.

This includes building and maintaining relationships and communications with internal customers:
drivers, contractors, outside brokers, customer service and operational personnel.


Job Description:


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • The Facility Manager is responsible for maintaining the safe and profitable operation of the EPC and meeting the goals of zero miss‐shipments, claims, or cargo damage and zero accidents
  • Establish and maintain relations with customers served at this location, other EPC facilities, the Keen Transport office in Carlisle and all regional Wallenius Wilhelmsen Solutions offices as required
  • Oversee the general operation of the site including areas of safety, talent management, employee relations, and all administrative and operational areas. This includes timely communication with the Accounting Dept regarding facility expenses, AP, AR, etc.
  • Oversee the accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness of information provided to internal and external customers regarding shipping and receiving, storage, production, and maintenance
  • Determine appropriate staffing levels and the evaluation and performance of employees
  • Review pricing and labor charges for all facility activities on a regular basis
  • Provide information regarding the performance of the facility to upper management

Job Requirements:

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Experience with loading, unloading, and scaling procedures relating to heavy construction equipment.
  • Prior experience with the over the road transport and the operation of earthmoving and construction equipment.
  • Familiarity with mobile inspection apps such as iAuditor.
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Office or clerical experience relating to maintaining shipping and inventory records, and operation of standard office machines including telephones, fax machines, and copy machines. Basic PC skills including wordprocessing and spreadsheet experience.
