Introduction


A Service Partner Sales Specialist role (what we internally call a 'Brand Sales Specialist') in IBM's Data & AI brand means accelerating enterprises' success by improving their ability to understand their data.

It means providing solutions that enable people across organizations, in multiple roles, the ability to turn data into actionable insights without having to wait for IT.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Revenue Quota responsibility for your portfolio in your partner accounts, directly engaging with partners, market sellers and clients to support highvalue opportunities.
  • Partner Account Development and Enablement: Developing strategic partner accounts to pinpoint growth areas, revenue objectives, enablement goals, and key milestones for measuring success.
  • Influential Partner Management: Influencing partners' sales, technical, and practice leaders to adopt Data and AI and Automation solutions and technology.
  • Leveraging Ecosystem Initiatives: Utilizing Ecosystem programs, comarketing efforts, and IBM tools to drive joint demand generation, prospecting, and cocreation of solutions.
  • Connecting Partner and IBM Teams: Facilitating the connection between partner and IBM sellers in the US markets served by the partner to enable local execution of prospecting, lead passing, and gotomarket success.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Demonstrated success of sales execution and quota attainment, directly and indirectly.
  • Proven Handson technology partner sales experience with a proven track record of forecasting and exceeding sales quotas, both directly and through partners.
  • Thought leader with ability to translate and articulate generative AI and/or IT Automation market trends, insights and technology into business value, to influence technology investment decisions and ultimately joint opportunities.
  • Outstanding ability to collaborate directly with partners, market sales teams and their clients in support of highvalue engagements and opportunities.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Proven communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of executivelevel networking and influencing throughout the successful closure of complex technology sales cycles with and through others, including market sales teams.
  • Outstanding experience in building/nurturing professional relationships with key stakeholders, both externally and internally, through providing business value, practicing effective listening and candid communication.
  • Show vs tell. Consultative and storytelling approach via showcasing IBM's technology in action, in business context.
