The Communities at Golden Pond is seeking a highly organized and motivated nurse who loves to work with Seniors and help promote their best possible life.

The Director of Wellness needs to be in agreement with the Golden Pond Philosophy and Objective that we will lead in all we do.

OVERVIEW:

Supervises the 24/7 operations of the Wellness Department:


  • Responsible for the overall quality of resident care and hospitality provided to the residents.
  • Adheres to policies and procedures of Golden Pond
  • Incorporates the mission and vision of Folden Pond in the delivery of care and management of employees.
  • Provides day to day management of clinical operations to include staff training, staff scheduling, staff inservices, resident documentation, quality assurance and staff retention.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform all duties in a manner consistent with regulations set forth by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs
:


  • Oversee the training of all resident care employees in accordance with Golden Pond policies, inservice training programs and state and federal regulations to ensure regulatory compliance;
  • Supervise clinical team (nurses and RCA Aides) in providing quality care of residents in accordance with the Golden Pond philosophy and policies and in compliance with state regulations;
  • Maintain resident wellness files to include monthly clinical audits related to EOEA regulations;
  • Supervise, hire, schedule and train all Wellness staff (wellness nurses and resident care aides)
  • Assess prospective residents and complete service plans for new residents.
  • Oversee/complete all documentation required to deliver care and comply with the Executive Office Of Elder Affairs and Golden Pond.
  • Prepares and presents monthly quality assurance information to Directors at monthly meeting;
  • Develop and implement educational training programs for Wellness staff as required by the Executive Office of Elder Affairs and according to Golden Pond policies.
  • Manage budget for the Wellness Department;
  • Develop, implement and evaluate all healthcare policies and procedures for Golden Pond.
  • Provide oncall responsibilities for issues related to residents' health, staffing of Wellness team and emergencies.;
  • Coordinates and maintains accurate initial service plans, introductory visits, medication sheet and other information during initial resident movein and state regulations;
  • Provides oncall/after hours emergency availability to clinical team as needed;
  • Supports marketing efforts and census for Golden Pond;
  • Implements clinical and administrative policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of clinical operations;
  • Works with the Executive Director and Wellness Team to ensure smooth transitions of new residents, clinical team operations and overall wellbeing of residents and staff;
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Nurse (RN or LPN) in good standing with their respective Massachusetts State Licensing Board
  • Prior experience in the management of an assisted living wellness department/
  • Five or more years working in a supervisory position within a health care setting (preferably in Assisted Living, Long Term Care, Adult Day Health or Home Care;
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English in a clear, and concise manner;
  • Must demonstrate problem solving abilities;
  • Must have sound interpersonal skills to provide respectful and effective communication with residents, staff, family and visitors;
  • Ability to develop a therapeutic relationship while maintaining professional boundaries;
  • Ability to manage stressful situations in a calm, organized and professional manner;

HOURS:

Full-Time, salaried, with the ability to work weekends, evening and holidays/flexible hours.


Pay:
From $110,000.00 per year
