Description

Responsibilities:

Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods and techniques.
Assemble and package surgical instrument sets and trays according to established protocols.
Inspect instruments for damage or defects and report any issues to the supervisor.
Maintain accurate records of instrument processing activities.
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies for surgical procedures.
Assist in inventory management, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or related role is preferred.
Knowledge of sterile processing techniques and aseptic principles.
Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Ability to operate sterilization equipment and perform routine maintenance.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
