Hand Finisher
With little supervision, perform hand finishing, deburring and inspection, using appropriate tooling as required. Position requires a positive attitude. Cross training is mandatory in various disciplines within the hand finish area.


Hand Finisher Duties:


  • Be familiar with all tools required for hand finish.
  • Hand grinding various airfoil shapes to their finish contour and dimension.
  • Chamfer, radius and grind parts to blueprints and work instructions.
  • Read and understand basic diagrams and mechanical drawings.
  • Clean and grit blast
  • Read, interpret and execute work instructions.
  • Follow all company policies including safety instructions.
  • Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices.

Requirements:


Hand Finisher Requirements:


  • High School Diploma/GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years' experience in component repair
  • 2 years' experience with inspection tooling and processes
  • Demonstrated experience with Lean and 5S principle
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
