Position Summary

This position is for a vacuum furnace operator / copper plate inspector whose primary responsibilities include visual inspecting parts prior to loading into vacuum furnaces, monitoring the furnaces, and ensuring parts are following the prescribed process.

Essential Functions

Inspect copper plate for location, thickness and quality.
Prepare parts for vacuum carburizing.
Monitor vacuum furnaces.
Perform SAT's (System Accuracy Test).
Maintain quality records.
Hardness test parts after heat treatment.

Experience and Education

Experience in aerospace manufacturing preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Competencies and Skills

Organized.
Operate with a sense of urgency while always focusing on safety and quality.
Good written and verbal communication.
Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
Excellent attitude and teamwork.
Possesses or able to learn basic computer skills.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
