    Job Description: Business Development Director/Senior Director

    Location: (Remote/Home Office), location open to any city in US.

    Reports to: Global Vice President, based in the US

    Company Overview: Our customer is a fast-growing CDMO company and it is specialized in delivering high-quality solutions to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, ensuring the highest standards of service and product delivery. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Director/Senior Director to lead our growth initiatives and strengthen our market presence.

    Position Overview: The Business Development Director/Senior Director will be responsible for driving the company's business development strategy, identifying new business opportunities, and fostering strong relationships with clients. This role will play a pivotal part in our growth strategy, ensuring alignment with the global vision set by the VP based in the US. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from a home office.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals.
    • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
    • Collaborate with the global VP and other senior leadership to align business development efforts with the company's overall strategy.
    • Lead negotiations and close deals with potential clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic planning.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance our market presence and network.
    • Provide regular reports and updates to the global VP and executive team on business development activities and progress.
    • Mentor and guide the business development team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) is preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development within the CDMO, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries.
    • Proven track record of successfully identifying and securing new business opportunities.
    • Strong understanding of the CDMO landscape and market dynamics.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Willingness to travel as required.
