Loews Hotels & Co has ventured into Kansas City, MO with the new Loews Kansas City Hotel.The 800-room hotel features 60,000 square feet of meeting & function space, with a sky bridge connecting to the 800,000 square foot Kansas City Convention Center.
The hotel marks the first hotel catering to groups & meetings to open in more than 20 years in Kansas City.
Two signature restaurants, a Grab & Go bakery and a rooftop lounge will round out this all glass, 24 story hotel, which stands out on the city's skyline.
Loews Kansas City is located at the cornerstone of an already vibrant and continuously growing downtown Kansas City.Essential Functions and Responsibilities Develop and maintain an account base, as designated by Director of Sales, to achieve hotel revenue goals.
Be responsible for and implement a sales action plan for the development of the designated market segments which includes telephone/direct mail solicitation, personal call program, related sales trips, trade show participation and entertainment.
Achieve annual goals as designated by Director of SalesRespond promptly to all inquiries and correspondence from clients, prospects and lead referrals.
Respond promptly to requests by Director of Sales and Director of marketing for reports and other assignments.5% Execute sales calls and sales trips as designated.
Achieve sales and revenue goals as specified in the goal setting process.Develop working relationship with hotel department head and operational areas.
Follow up on all assigned sales leads.
Be knowledgeable of local and national competitive hotels and marketing strategies.
Follow up with clients during meetings, according to Loews standards.
Provide weekly and monthly reports of sales calls and marketing actions as requested by Director of Sales.
Maintain efficient and time processing of paperwork, files and reportsSupportive Functions and ResponsibilitiesRespect guidelines of confidentiality and code of ethics in all company areas.
Represent Loews Hotels in a professional manner at all times.Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all timesNotifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significanceIs polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow employeesExecutes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standardsComplies with required safety regulations and proceduresAttends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessionsMaintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work areaComplies with hotel standards, policies and rulesRecycles whenever possibleRemains current with hotel information and changesComplies with hotel uniform and grooming standardsSpecific Job Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThe individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:
