Associate - Global Transaction Banking (GTB) Product Specialist

New York, United States of America

Identifies and pursues new sales prospects within existing or untapped markets.

Gathers market intelligence, generates leads, and develops proposals/campaigns to garner new business, ensuring a consistent flow of new revenues to the company.

Uses knowledge of markets, industries, and clients to determine demand, future trends and potential projects. Works pre-developed lead lists to generate business and identify new customer prospects.

Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

Sets up appropriate policies and procedures to ensure adherence with banks credit, legal, regulatory and compliance requirements.
Manages the transactions from origination through execution.
Liaises with GAOs on marketing plans (in liaison with GTB NY team).
Interfaces with Middle Office and other relevant departments (i.e LC department, Risk and Legal) to ensure effective deal management.
Prepares internal requirements for Risk.
Assists with client management, including but not limited to updating offerings, follow up on existing facilities, and internal reports.
Supports in transaction origination, including preparing proposals, pitches and presentations.
Provides guidance to the deal booking teams in Loan Operations for structured and/or nonstandard transactions.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree and/or work experience, in Business, Finance, or a related field.

Work Experience:

Product Development, Business Development or related experience, 59 years.
Financial Services Industry experience, preferably in Transaction Banking.

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent knowledge of loan and deposit products both standard and more complex structures.
Advanced level of proficiency with the AFS Loans system.
Ability to multitask and selfprioritize a heavy workload.
Strong analytical skills/financial acumen.
Demonstrated understanding of product development life cycle.
Ability to communicate effectively to internal teams, key partners and executive management.
Demonstrates the ability to translate client needs into marketable product features.
Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong project management skills.

Working Conditions:
Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.

The base annual salary range for this position is $145,000-$165,000. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
