JOB DESCRIPTION Under the supervision of the Materials Manager, the Inventory Control Agent will be in charge of carrying out routine tasks across all cannabis inventory areas after receiving training on department-specific procedures. Tasks will include tracking inventory according to standard procedures.



RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implementing inventory control methods like FIFO (First In, First Out) to maintain product freshness, reduce waste, and avoid stock shortages or excess
  • Performing regular inventory audits to ensure physical inventory matches records, identify discrepancies, and investigate root causes
  • Collaborating with procurement, production, and sales teams to guarantee inventory accuracy, manage stock replenishment, and address any inventory-related issues
  • Maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene, and food handling practices by adhering to internal policies and industry regulations
  • Operating automated machinery safely and accurately
  • Keeping precise records and performing quality checks during packaging processes
  • Timely reporting of issues and conducting minor equipment repairs or adjustments as necessary
  • Ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas and equipment
  • Cooperating with other departments to fulfill wholesale orders promptly
  • Completing detailed logs and forms for machinery processes and maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Preferred experience in inventory management
  • Proficiency in inventory management software
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on complex processes
  • Physical capability to stand for long periods, lift varied weights, and engage in diverse physical activities
  • Effective communication with colleagues and management, displaying kindness and respect
  • Ability to adhere to compliance and safety protocols
