Overview

Part of the manufacturing team, you are the driving force behind the creation of our kitchen and bath products.

You will work hands-on with the products themselves, from the handling of raw materials to the shipping of a completed piece.

You are responsible for ensuring that all products are properly assembled and manufactured to bring customers a consistently strong experience.

Knowledge and attention to all safety protocols is an essential part of keeping our manufacturing operations safe and efficient.

Responsibilities

The Quality Engineer is responsible for securing, controlling and improving the internal and external quality of manufactured products including raw materials, equipment suppliers, claims and guarantees and production processes.

Maintains a quality system that allows continuous improvement and customer satisfaction with low costs and high productivity by involving all staff of the plant maintaining certifications and process controls.

Collaborates in the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 compliant quality management system.
Maintain quality for products and processes, defining quality metrics, implementing standard work and managing quality inspections.
Maintain the company's quality procedures, standards and specifications in conjunction with operating staff ́s disciplines.

Review product and process requirements (Product CTQs and Process CTQs) and making sure they are met in order to achieve customer requirements, applicable industry standards, or legal requirements.

Monitoring plant performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports on process CTQs, discovering opportunity areas and in liaison with staff managers address them by using relevant improvement tools and techniques.

Discovering opportunity areas to reduce waste and increase efficiency by implementing continuous improvement and product manufacturing projects by using 6

, 5s, Kaizen, Lean and core tools relevant to the field of Quality in order to make a better reliable manufacturing process.
Lead/Assist in development of control plans/critical characteristics

In liaison with the supplier quality team, execute and ensure that the components and raw materials meet all specified standards in order to enable continuity for manufacturing.

Actively exercise prevention measures to ensure reliable supplied direct or indirect supplies to manufacturing.
Facilitate all resources to make problem solving on questionable components, or raw materials that are not meeting engineering specifications.
Act as a change agent, facilitating smooth and orderly transition from product development into manufacturing quality operations.
Timely resolution of issues including project scope changes.

. This position will work closely with manufacturing to conduct root cause analysis, develop and implement corrective actions and assist in continuous improvement activities.
Participate as internal auditor to verify compliance to ISO processes, procedures, and work instructions; issue corrective actions as required.
Determine and justify the use of new and better quality inspection equipment.

Work with outside contractors or labs

Support all plant environmental, health, and safety efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or other applicable field preferred
ASQ-CQE, ASQ-CQA, or Six Sigma certification preferred
2 years of applicable experience in a manufacturing environment required; 5 years preferred
Experience in the maintenance of an ISO 9001 compliant quality management system required
Knowledge of core tools within the AIAG manuals. Able to use and instruct others in the use of APQP, SPC, Cp/Cpk, PFMEA, MSA (GR&R), Control Plan, etc preferred
Strong MS Office skills required
Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills

Hiring Range

The Hiring Salary Range for this position is

$62,000- $90,000 annually.
(Salary offer to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)

Other Compensation (if applicable):

This role will be eligible to participate in the annual Short Term Incentive plan.

Regular Full-Time Salaried positions:
Will include a comprehensive benefits package.
