Artemis Provisions and Cheese is a new, unique customer experience in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin.

Customers will shop in our meat and cheese retail storefront, as well as dine in our restaurant named _Taste by Artemis_.

Customers will have access to local meat, cheese, charcuterie accompaniments, wine, gifts, and more Our seating area connected to the retail space gives diners a diverse menu to _Taste_.

Artemis Provisions and Cheese is a leading farm to table supplier of local meats and cheeses in southern Wisconsin.

We believe in our local producers and have worked to create a sustainable and affordable way for Wisconsinites to access the best products raised and produced in the state.

By supporting local producers, we ensure that there will be producers of meats, cheeses and vegetables for the next generation.


_Artemis Provisions and Cheese is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Processing Manager to join our team_. As a key member of our production team, the Meat Processing Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our meat products. In addition to traditional meat cutting techniques, this role will involve expertise in curing and smoking meats and sausages.


Responsibilities:


  • Execute precise meat cutting, curing, and smoking tasks, adhering to customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following strict hygiene and sanitation guidelines, including HACCP principles.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production targets and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product inquiries, recommending cuts, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a Meat Cutter or in a similar role within the meat industry, with expertise in curing and smoking meats and sausages.
  • Indepth knowledge of various meat cutting techniques, including deboning, trimming, portioning, curing, and smoking.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, precision, and commitment to maintaining highquality standards.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues.
  • Strong understanding of safety and sanitation guidelines, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Certification in Meat Cutting or a related field
  • Familiarity with different types of meat and their specific cutting, curing, and smoking requirements.
  • Previous experience in a customerfacing role within a meat department or similar setting.
