Job Description
Fugro Marine Geotechnics service line provides marine geotechnical services to determine and manage the ground risk associated with marine project development.
Using technical expertise, advanced exploration tools, field and laboratory testing, computer simulations and quantitative methods, we identify, evaluate, and resolve your geotechnical design challenges.
The Assistant Driller - Marine performs routine and standard drilling techniques to obtain soil samples most safely and cost-effectively.Job Responsibilities
- Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.
- Ability to overhaul fluid end of mud pumps w/o supervision.
- Ability to operate all companyowned forklifts, vehicles drilling rigs, tools and pipe sizes.
- Use of cutting torch and basic welding skills.
- Knowledge of Blowout procedures.
- Ability to operate tuggers and sampling winches.
- Assists Driller in drilling operations of rig by mixing mud, handling drill pipe, casing and other equipment.
- Performs and assists with maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work area as directed.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.
- Possess current driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Possess a High School degree.
- Have 012 months of drilling experience or more.
- Possess strong mechanical aptitude.
- Must be able to travel extensively.
