Job Title: Environmental Compliance Coordinator

Location : Possum Point Power Station; 19000 Possum Point Road, Dumfries, VA 220226

Duration : 12 Months

Pay Rate : $45-50/Hour on W2

Any required certifications?

Virginia Department of Environmental Quality Erosion and Sediment Control Inspector (preferred)

Virginia Department of Environmental Quality Stormwater Management Inspector (preferred)

DOT Hazardous Materials Trained (preferred)

Hazwoper (preferred)

RCRA Hazardous Waste trained

Air Permitting and Regulations

NPDES/VPDES Permitting and Regulations

Storm Water Pollution Prevention; beyond an awareness level

Familiar with Fossil Fuel Electric Generation and Power Generation Facilities

SPCC/FRP/Oil Program Regulations

Ensures company compliance with environmental, chemical, waste management, and permit regulations at Possum Point Power Station associated with Electric Generation. Share responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of work sites, to comply with regulatory and company Environmental, Health and Safety standards and procedures. Communicate and prepare reports for submittal internally, externally, to governmental agencies and customers. Support *** and contracted staff, inspect, or assess, and provide recommendations regarding environmental compliance issues to personnel responsible for compliance tasks and management. Provide environmental training to site personnel in handling of chemicals and waste materials, spill prevention, erosion, and sediment control and other environmental compliance topics and requirements.

What are the top (at least 3 if possible) "must have" skill sets (technical/functional) which are required?

1. Understanding of environmental regulations and requirements such as Air Permitting, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC), National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES)/VPDES, Hazardous Waste and Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER), Superfund and Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA), Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC)/Facility Response Plans (FRP).

2. Ability to interpret and/or apply environmental requirements to company operations and translate regulatory regulations, permit, and plan requirements into compliance guidance.

3. Knowledge of related environmental regulations and applicable environmental requirements for multimedia environmental Product and permits.
