- Assist in the installation of electrical systems including conduit, wiring, fixtures, and electrical apparatus under the supervision of a journeyman electrician.
- Follow electrical codes, blueprints, and diagrams to understand the layout of electrical systems and ensure compliance with building regulations.
- Help with the inspection, repair, and maintenance of electrical components, tools, and equipment.
- Manage materials and inventory to ensure availability of necessary supplies for projects.
- Attend and actively participate in job-related training sessions and apprenticeship classes to develop a comprehensive understanding of the trade.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and standards to maintain a secure work environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a vocational training or certificate in electrical technology is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in the electrical trade.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Good physical condition, able to lift heavy objects, and comfortable working at heights.
- Excellent work ethic and time management skills.
- Work on various construction sites with exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Physical activity including standing, bending, and lifting is required.
- Safety equipment must be worn at all times during work hours.
