This position has the unique opportunity to accelerate the growth of the Bausch + Lomb Vision Care Contact Lens business through the management of the various channels within the Optometry and Ophthalmology industry.
The Strategic Business Development Manager (SBDM) is responsible for identifying, securing, and advancing key strategic partners by leveraging B+Ls digital platforms and innovative and diverse product portfolio.
The (SBDM) will work with local Vision Care Territory Manager (VTM) to provide additional support to ECP and Practice and to drive ECP adoption and utilization of digital platforms across wide-ranging, diverse, and evolving accounts.
Develop and manage the cross-functional relationship between Sales, Brand and Customer Marketing, IT, Digital, Customer Service, Finance, and other key B+L departments to analyze, develop, and implement business processes for their accounts.
Manage execution of account specific strategy, programs, logistics, processes, or tactics that contribute to the growth of B+L sales and share.
These programs / strategies include:
Leverage digital platform resources to grow sales and share.
Drive platform adoption and utilization via ECP and staff education and support on functionality, differentiators, and processes of digital platform.
Ensure strategies are integrated and executed at field level, through VTM co-travels, providing relevant data and participation in field sales conference calls and meetings.
Effectively communicate account strategies to the field sales team while keeping sales and sales management informed on all aspects of the business.
The SBDM will be responsible for managing and aligning all digital support resources for these customers.
This position requires excellent analytical skills, financial and forecasting acumen to provide accurate and timely reporting on key metrics.
Responsibilities:
Development/execution of strategy for the B+L Business.
Develop and maintain digital business plans.
Quarterly and Annual Sales Forecasting.
Utilizing cross functional relationships.
Co-travels with VTMs.
Account Management
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with digital platform customers.
Work with customers to drive strategies and promotional execution.
Field visits with owned customer field personnel.
Develop and manage the relationships with Optometric personnel (Optometrists and Professional Leads) to drive B+L platform and product usage.
Management
Management/alignment of support resources.
ROI and key performance data communications. Plus achieve KPI metrics and goals.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree Required.
Qualifications:
7+ years sales experience with documented sales success.
VisionCare experience required.
Capacity for cross-functional leadership
Experience working in a highly matrixed environment requiring the ability to collaborate, and influence across functions.
B2B sales experience preferred.
Skills:
Comprehensive knowledge of professional sales and marketing, brand strategies and competitive products.
Proven ability to operate and influence cross functionally.
Tech savvy; Able to implement and assimilate digital platforms.
Entrepreneurial spirit.
Demonstrated capability in driving initiatives across company/franchises.
Thorough understanding of sales and marketing, business trends and consumer dynamics.
Excellent project and time management skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent leadership and team interaction skills to allow for maximum influence on key stakeholders.
Demonstrated analytical, collaborative, and consultative abilities.
