Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

IT Operations and Application Support

  • Create and manage cases using the District CRM system while adhering to defined processes
  • Determine incident impact and severity
  • Prioritize open issues and incidents
  • Monitor success/failure of data integrations, report issues to Data Integrations team and work collaboratively to resolve problems
  • Work with business owners to evaluate system functions and configuration.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings for a variety of systems
  • Provide recommendations for use of system functionality to meet business needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to resolve issues and ensure systems meet the needs of the District
  • Follow testing and change management processes according to standard operation procedures

Training

  • Create and maintain training materials for a variety of systems.
  • Lead and facilitate training sessions for District staff.
  • Assist with the creation of training documents and materials.

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT help desk or IT support role required; A Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field will be considered in lieu of experience requirement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions, inquiries and/or complaints
  • Ability to display courtesy, tact and respect when dealing with others
  • Ability to work effectively, both independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Work under mínimal supervision
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to effectively present information to other employees in oneonone and smallgroup situations
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks often changing assignments on short notice with little or no direction
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedural manuals
  • Ability to develop training and present information to adult learners
  • Demonstrated experience with PowerPoint Mix or Adobe Captivate preferred
