Role Summary:

Regional Operation Managers (ROM) are a critical piece of ServiceUp's success in market expansion. This is an intense, business-side startup role where every day presents new challenges and opportunities.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, possesses exceptional interpersonal skills, and is driven by the pursuit of operational excellence.


As a ROM at ServiceUp, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our Texas markets, ensuring operational efficiency and outstanding service delivery.

This includes overseeing our shop network, managing drivers, and responding quickly to market demands.

You will play a key role in driving growth, identifying expansion opportunities, and developing strategies to increase service level to current customers and acquire new customers.


To excel in this role, you must be self-motivated, proactive, and able to build strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners.

Your ability to think strategically and execute plans effectively will be crucial in achieving our market objectives.


Here's what you'll do:

Manage
  • Create and own workflows that keep launch projects on track from beginning to end. Manage a network of direct report drivers and thirdparty drivers, ensuring efficient coordination and high service standards across all delivery operations.

Strategize

  • Recruit and train local operations members, which may include a City Manager, Partner Shop Representatives, and Drivers. Consistently innovate and execute unique strategies in our top priority markets (Houston, Austin, or Dallas, USA). As the first team member in a new city, you will build out the strategy and infrastructure for our local operations teams to succeed in the market

Scaling market

  • We need someone with experience in market expansion who can develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that support significant growth. You will play a key role in establishing and refining processes that enable seamless scaling, ensuring operational excellence and consistency across all new markets. Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to streamline workflows, optimize resource allocation, and implement best practices that drive sustainable growth and customer satisfaction.

Experiment

  • Utilize datadriven decisionmaking and sound business judgment to run tests on everything from pickup times to auto shop selection in new markets.

Create

  • Organize networking events in your city Build the ServiceUp brand with your leadership Go above and beyond to lead sourcing strategies to achieve our goals.

Analyze

  • Utilize advanced data analytics to identify trends and patterns in underperforming areas and develop strategies to address them effectively.

Build

  • Generate new business by exploring growth opportunities.

Influence

  • Collaborate crossfunctionally with our Operations, Product, Engineering, Business Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams to drive strategic initiatives and improve new market opportunities. Influence the launch vision and growth strategy of ServiceUp through indepth market research and industry trend analysis.

Travel:

- this role includes frequent travel to cities within the Texas market to onboard shops, meet with clients and grow the business.


Here's the background we would like you to have:

  • 3+ years of startup, operations management, consulting, or technology background
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Conflict resolution management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in negotiation and onboarding vendor
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders of varying levels, including senior leadership
