The Opportunity
The Chemical Line Operator and is primarily responsible for producing quality products safely and efficiently.


You will be responsible for:


  • Operate production lines for electroless, electrolytic, and coating processes.
  • Visually inspect raw and finished materials for suitability of use.
  • Chemical bath make up and maintenance utilizing measurement tools and different size/style transfer pumps
  • Management of waste from production processes.
  • Record process data and report weekly quantities that in line with departmental KPIs.
  • Labelling and packaging of finished goods.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of production area (filter changes, wiping rails, spill cleanup, triple rinsing drums, etc).
  • Support training of new operators.
  • Review and update SOPs involving production operations.
  • Complete and submit work orders for engineering and maintenance tasks outside of individual work scope.
  • Notify a senior line operator or process engineer of concerns requiring additional resources.

Support quality and safety activities as follows:

  • Test in-process goods (resistivity, weight percent metals, etc.) and adjust process controls to meet product specifications.
  • Communicate unusual conditions and support in root cause analysis.
  • Hazardous material handling, including spill cleanup, in accordance with established safe handling practices and safety protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness of production lines, chemical storage area, triple rinse area and participate in safety inspections, FOD inspections, 6S projects, and production line inspections.
  • Participate in safety action team meetings.
  • Complete and submit accident and near miss reports.

Support process development activities as follows:

  • Support operations of equipment and participate in statistical studies of process capabilities.
  • Participate in Lean six sigma projects providing input from experience and knowledge through trainings.
  • Participate in risk assessment scoring of new processes.


This position requires working with hazardous chemicals with appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, protective gloves, and, at times, a respirator.

This position requires passing and maintaining medical clearance for respirator use and ensuring there are no conditions that may interfere with the face-to-facepiece respirator seal or respirator valve function.


The position requires occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs) and regular physical exertion including significant time standing and walking in a manufacturing environment.

What will make you successful?

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Able to work well with mínimal supervision and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Experience working with chemicals in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration: Ability to work with others, comfort in taking and giving direction with peers where necessary to achieve operational goals

Work Schedule, Conditions, and Other Requirements:

This is a both a hands-on and supervisory position, working Monday through Friday, typically from 7:00 to 15:30, primarily in a production environment.

There is some opportunity for flexibility within this work schedule to meet individual needs.


This position requires working with hazardous chemicals with appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, protective gloves, and, at times, a respirator.

This position requires passing medical clearance for physical labor as well as respirator use and ensuring there are no conditions that may interfere with the face-to-facepiece respirator seal or respirator valve function.


You must be willing to take a drug test and submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process.

This position requires regular physical exertion with significant walking and standing in a production environment.
