- Restocks and orders supplies.
- Restocks anesthesia machines.
- Assists RN as directed.
- Transports specimens to lab
- Properly decontaminates and sterilizes endoscopes.
- Properly maintains all required logbooks relative to scope cleaning according to documentation requirements.
- Maintains a safe and therapeutic patient environment.
- Advocates for patient's needs through communication and the interdisciplinary planning process.

Summary:
The surgery aid will perform various patient care activities and related non-professional services in caring for the personal needs and comforts of patients, under the direct supervision and direction of the RN, Team leader, Manager or Administrator. Must be accountable to the policies and procedures of the organization.

Demonstrates ability to appropriately modify approach and procedures to meet needs of age/diversity of population served for the following age groups:
Neonate (birth 28 days)
Infant (29 days less than 1 year)
Pediatric/Child (1 year 12 years)
Adolescent (12 years 18 years)
Adult (18 years 65 years)
Geriatric (over 65 years)
Hours will be dependent on patient census and workload. Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, to include after-hours and weekends as necessary.
