Reporting to the Head of Quality, the
Program Quality Functional Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the highest level of quality and reliability in our products.

This position is responsible for leading all quality functions related to new program readiness and product introductions, managing the organization's ISO quality management system, developing, and maintaining product quality standards, implementing strategies to improve field product performance, and participating in the defects/recall committee.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain the organization's ISO system, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and leading the audit program.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, regulations, and customer specifications.
  • Lead design and process risk analysis strategies to prevent quality issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
  • Lead quality readiness activities for new product introductions, including conducting risk assessments, developing quality plans, and coordinating testing and validation activities.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering, DREs, Manufacturing, Program Management, Prototype Build Techs, etc., during prebuilds and launch to document all qualityrelated issues.
  • Conduct programs quality readiness reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze field quality metrics and performance indicators to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Participate in the decisionmaking process for recalls, working together with other functions such as safety, engineering, program management, and manufacturing.
  • Actively lead the problemsolving process by meeting with engineering to review documentation of validation findings and ensure proper documentation and validation prior to closure.
  • Establish quality control standards, procedures, and guidelines to meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Six Sigma methodologies, to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance product quality and reliability.
  • Provide guidance and support to the quality engineers, including training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in quality management and proactively identify and implement relevant improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or equivalent). Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management, preferably in the automotive or truck manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Proven experience in implementing and maintaining quality systems and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Thorough understanding and ability to effectively operate in all areas of the launch and plant production process.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve quality objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to truck manufacturing.
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt) is a plus.
