    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the overall nursing care/service, and management of all personnel on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated. Our RNs work 12 hour shifts caring for our residents at our skilled nursing center.

    • Supervise direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift.
    • Administer direct care as necessary.
    • Give and receive shift reports.
    • Round twice a shift to assure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
    • Keep physicians and families aware of changes in resident's condition.
    • Assist in developing comprehensive care plans
    • Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident
    • Maintain accurate documentation of all care rendered.
    • Respond to resident emergency call system.
    • Interface with other disciplines to assure continuity of care and services.
    • Accompanies physicians when making rounds.
    • Encourage restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. RN with a current license in Florida.

    • At least 6 months experience in geriatric nursing a plus.

    • Supervisory experience a plus.

    • Basic computer proficiency.
    • Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
    • Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
    • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
    • Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
