- Establish and maintain strong client relationships adhering to the Fisher Clientship philosophy.
- Prepare bridge design plans and construction bid packages for NYSDOT, NYSTA and locally administered federal aid transportation projects
- Effectively complete assignments related to bridge inspection, bridge load rating and analysis and all aspects of concrete/steel bridge and foundation design.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, sub consultants and regulatory approving agencies
- Assist with field inspections and reports for bridge and culvert inspections
- Attend project kick off meetings.
- Research, understand and document jurisdictional requirements
- Develop creative and strategic design options that meet client's goals
- Complete site feasibility studies as well as site and environmental analysis
- Schematic design, engineering systems coordination, site cost analysis, design development
- Specification and materials research
- Develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
- Develop detailed design plans, drawings, and specifications for bridges and related structures.
- Coordinate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
- Proactively assist Project Managers, and Project Engineers and Group Manager.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase, which may involve addressing design-related queries from contractors, conducting site visits, and reviewing construction progress to ensure it aligns with the design intent.
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 5 - 10 years minimum of transportation experience, structures/bridge design experience preferred
- Professional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain it.
- Experience with MS Office, MicroStation, STAAD, Bridge Design Software preferred.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 annually
