The Hotel Mariposa is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our Front Desk team as a Night Auditor.

As a Night Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the overnight hours.

This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various tasks simultaneously.


Responsibilities

• Perform night audit procedures to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and guest accounts
• Verify and balance daily revenue and expense transactions
• Prepare reports summarizing financial data for management review
• Handle guest checkins and checkouts during the overnight shift
• Assist guests with inquiries, requests, and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
• Monitor security cameras and report any suspicious activity or safety hazards
• Handle phone calls and reservations using our hotel's phone systems
• Provide exceptional guest service by addressing guest needs promptly and effectively
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area

Qualifications

• Previous experience in night audit or front desk operations preferred
• Familiarity with hotel management software systems a plus
• Strong knowledge of phone etiquette and customer service principles
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Proficiency in handling cash transactions accurately
• Knowledge of guest relations practices in the hospitality industry
• Multilingual skills are a plus
