GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Store Leader is responsible for the overall success of their store.

The Store Leader (SL) is responsible for cultivating an environmen t of genuine customer connection, building strong teams, executing visual brand expectations, and directing all activities required to drive sales and maximize results in the store.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

Key Responsibilities:

Owns profitability and business results for the store o Manages sales goals by analyzing store performance using historical reports and adjusting plans and priorities as necessary for achievement of goals. o Responsible for the performance of store team. o Manages payroll hours to support the needs of the business and sustain profitability. o Assesses visual needs and directs implementation of promotional changes in order to maximize sales immediately and for the short and long-term. o Prepares schedules by assessing business needs, traffic patterns and store activity in order to maximize sales. o Directs team to effectively use sales driving programs such as associate ordering system and outreach within the community.

  • Serves as a
    brand ambassador and ensures a customer and associate centric culture across all channels. o Drives and achieves a customer focused Omni Channel store environment. o Creates and demonstrates fashion focused store environments by delivering product knowledge and fashion expertise to our customers through associate dress and product knowledge. o Consistently demonstrates awareness for the customer in actions, priorities, and decisions. o Leads by example through utilizing customer service training resources.

Talent Acquisition and Management o Makes quality hiring decisions and nurtures talent through strong networks in store community.

Develops successors and talent pools for all store positions. updated 11/01/202- Provides current, direct, complete, and actionable positive and corrective feedback to others ensuring effective accountability. o Grows and develops talent using company programs such as orientation, LEAD, customer service training, etc. o Accurately appraises the strengths and weaknesses of others and coaches associates appropriately.

o Creates and cultivates an environment that allows others to reach their full potential while also fostering a fun and rewarding working climate.

Maintains an operationally strong store and execute company directives. o Minimizes inventory loss by training and directing team to effectively use store security equipment, provide excellent customer service, maintain a clean and organized store, and thoroughly review daily sales documentation. o Ensures execution of company direction (Floorsets, Visual, HR, Operations, etc.) uses resources appropriately and meets deadlines. o Enforces and follows all
maurices Policies and Procedures. Responds appropriately to policy and procedural violations and uses HR Resources to follow company guidelines.


WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Degree or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Supervisory experience required in a customer focused environment, experience in the fashion industry preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving and setting goals.
  • Experience in hiring and promoting talent.
  • Ability to lead by example, make sound decisions, act on ideas, and demonstrate professionalism.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and builds relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and challenge a team to achieve results.
  • Diligence and the ability to persevere in the face of resistance or setbacks.

Unique Requirements

  • Work varied hours/days as business dictates
  • Able to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store
  • Able to operate computerized register system

Physical Requirements
