SALARY RANGE:

$46,000- $52000


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Wakefield Public Schools Technology Department is looking for an hourly Information
Technology Support Specialist in support of our help desk. The Information Technology
Support Specialist will provide first-tier IT phone support and troubleshooting for the 8
locations of the Wakefield Public Schools (PreK-POST) to include:

  • Support for the use of technology in and out of the classroom for teaching and learning
Windows and Google account and group management

  • Chromebook hardware and software support for student and staff devices
  • Google Apps for Education support
  • Support for other online services
  • Printing & copying support
  • Classroom AV system support
  • Acts as an escalation point for the buildingbased IT support personnel
  • WPS uses a selfservice ticketing system to track our service requests.
  • Some afterhours work may be required to support special events or to complete projects.

  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs and be flexible with duties and schedule to get the work done that needs to be done as a member of a small team. Should be comfortable on a ladder.
