Sodexo is seeking a
Registered Dietitian to join their dynamic team at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center located in
Queens, NY.

This 424-bed, Level I Trauma & Stroke Center has been recognized as one of the leading hospitals in Queens, proudly serving their diverse community healthcare needs.

- provide exceptional nutrition care to patients on med/surg units;
- be part of the eight inpatient RD team and work rotating weekends and holidays providing full hospital coverage;
- be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process;
- be well versed in the Nutrition Focused Physical Exam and Malnutrition Identification; and
- efficiently and effectively organize clinical nutrition and patient care responsibilities.

Registered Dietitian credential;

- excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups;
- strong verbal and written communication skills; and
- the ability to work with mínimal oversight in collaboration with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) (Note: For those seeking registration after 2023, this must be a master's degree)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
