NOTE:
TA employees must be permanent in the Staff Analyst, Associate Staff Analyst, Transit Management Analyst and Associate Transit Management Analyst title to be considered.
Responsibilities
MTA New York City Transit Paratransit (Access-A-Ride) Service is a federally mandated service in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, providing origin-to-destination, demand-response, shared ride transportation for individuals with disabilities that cannot use fixed route public busses and subways.
The incumbents may be assigned to any of the Paratransit departments listed below.No-Show/Late Cancellation Appeals
These positions are critical for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines.
Education & Experience
Associate Transit Management Analyst:
- A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two (2) years of fulltime satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One (1) year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three (3) years of fulltime satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One (1) year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry.
Assistant Transit Management Analyst I & Assistant Transit Management Analyst II:
- A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and two (2) years of satisfactory fulltime professional experience as described in "1" above.
Associate Staff Analyst
- A Master's degree from an accredited college with a major in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies or a closely related field, and ONE(1) year of satisfactory fulltime professional experience in one or a combination of the following: working with the budget of a large public or private concern in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal or economic research; i
