    Job Description

    Responsible for unique or complex information systems and/or information technology tasks within more than one discipline, such as application support, database administration, software quality assurance/quality control, software engineering, network telecommunications, and infrastructure operations of administration, analysis, engineering and design.

  • Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes).
  • Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands.
  • Handles user requests for system needs and upgrades that are unique or complex and require additional research.
  • Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting.
  • Administers and runs complex tests on operating system and related software.
  • Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and, when necessary, performs data recoveries.
  • Performs root cause analysis and diagnostics on the more unique or complex production systems.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and works with team members to implement efficiencies.
  • Conducts cost analysis of proposed new/upgraded platforms and technologies.
  • Effectively creates and maintains relevant systems documentation and user guides.
  • Acts as a mentor to junior team members by providing guidance and expertise on troubleshooting unique or complex problems.
  • Applies scripting methodologies to automate related tasks.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent relevant experience; Master's Degree preferred.
  • CompTIA A+ or ITIL certification preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience in information technology, systems administration or other IT related field.
  • Other Job Specific Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and products that include Microsoft Windows, Windows Servers, Microsoft Office365 and SharePoint, Microsoft Teams.
  • Server Operating Systems; Tech Architecture-Server Operating Systems and Tech Architecture-System Maintenance.
  • Configuration and installation of Windows physical and Virtual Servers.
  • Patch Management, familiarity with WSUS.
  • Active Directory and User Account Management.
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Windows Server Operating Systems.
  • Powershell or VB Scripting
  • SQL Server setup
