Job Description
Job DescriptionMonday through Friday 7am-330pm. Must have experience with OB/GYN patients. Requires 2 years of recent paid phlebotomy experience. Pays between $18-$20 an hour based on experience.
Blood draws, label and centrifuge specimens, update patient information, etc.
Stores specimens according to established procedures
Properly explain process of the venipuncture and/or other specimen collection; urine or fecal as required
Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. Fully understand all of the physicians' orders
Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes
Check all test requisitions or computer labels against script to ensure 100% correct
Package specimens for transport and perform other duties as assigned
Must have OB/GYN experience
Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states
Reliable transportation with at least 4 years of licensed driving experience and possess a valid driver's license issued in the state of residence.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
High School Diploma or GED
