For a list of acceptable documentation, follow this link: Notice of Vacancy Number ST Job Category Graduate Assistantship Position Class Code Grad Assistant -Other Hourly Wage/Salary 2,275.00 Job Summary/Basic Function Crossroads Repertory Theater at Indiana State University is seeking a Graduate Assistant for summer 2024 who has demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, and/or public relations to assist with marketing its summer program. Specific Responsibilities Work Schedule The schedule varies and will be coordinated with supervisor. Some evenings and weekends required. Schedules will be subject to change with advanced notice to employee. Desired Start Date 05/13/2024 Open Date 04/11/2024 Close Date 05/11/2024 Required Relevant Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree (4 years) Required Field(s) of Study Bachelor's Degree (4 years) in public relations, communication, graphic design, or related field and/or work experience in writing copy for press releases, newsletters, social media, programs/brochures for a general audience; graphic design. However, any applicant who meets the required qualifications and/or preferred skills will be considered. Must currently be enrolled or accepted to a Master's program at ISU. Preferred Relevant Education and Experience Supervisory Responsibilities Has authority or responsibility for the supervision of student workers or graduate assistants only.   • Adobe: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere
  • Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Social Media: Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube
  • Using social media analytics to measure success of content and strategy
  • Graphic design and related proficiency with creative software such as elements of Adobe Creative Suite
  • NCAA Guidelines

    All employees and staff of ISU are bound by all NCAA, Missouri Valley Conference and institutional rules and regulations pertaining to intercollegiate athletics and must conduct themselves in accordance therewith.     No ISU employee (whether paid or a volunteer) shall knowingly influence others to furnish the NCAA or an ISU investigator/compliance officer false or misleading information concerning an individual's involvement in or knowledge of matters relevant to a possible violation of an NCAA regulation. Failure to abide by this term of employment shall constitute unethical conduct as defined by the NCAA and may result in immediate suspension and/or termination of the employment relationship with ISU.

    Job Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Communications: The GA will communicate in-person, on the telephone, and via email for community outreach/engagement, including:Creating email newsletters, updates about ticket sales, updating/creating/distributing flyers, brochures, other promotional materials.Creating content, managing social media outlets, developing marketing strategy, updating CRT's website, writing press releases/mass emails, and telephone/email correspondence.Communicating among internal campus partners and external partner about promotional needs and cross-promotional opportunities.
  • Marketing Strategy: Assist with developing and implementing the marketing strategy around CRT's initiatives.
  • Social Media Management: Assist with the management of CRT's social media channels to include content creation and maintaining a publication schedule.
  • Content Development: Assist with the creation of written, visual and multimedia content, to include marketing copy to promote CRT's season.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on trends for communication and marketing.
  • Event Management: Assist in planning and set up for marketing events, both on campus and off.
  • Administrative tasks related to communication and marketing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
