The Clare Estate - Award-Winning, unique 10-acre property located in historic Bordentown, NJ offering innovative assisted living and memory care seeking an experienced Wellness Director.


The Director of Nursing is responsible for oversight of clinical and medical care for The Clare Estate 110 independent, assisted and memory care residents and ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations at all times. The Director of Nursing is responsible for ensuring that the facility's standards of care meet and exceed guidelines, as well as supervising all nursing department staff including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and certified nurse's aides and home health aides.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Oversee staff operations; including, hiring, training, evaluating, and disciplinary process and business planning for clinical programs.
  • Ensure services are in compliance with Department of Health regulations, state, local and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Act as liaison for conflict resolution between staff, patients, family members and physicians.
  • Directs the staff in quality and caring support of elderly patients.
  • Develops, implements, and reports on quality improvement and resident safety initiatives.
  • Coordinates health services for the assisted living program, advanced care program, and the dementia care program.
  • Provide residents with the medication regime as ordered by the resident's physician.
  • Ensure that physician orders are carried out as ordered.
  • Provide oversight to unlicensed staff.
  • Provide proper documentation of all nursing and healthcare services.
  • Responsible for maintaining health service plans and resident assessments.
  • Model, teach, and monitor effective communications regarding resident care.
  • Supervise, evaluate, train, and discipline Caregivers, Medication Techs and Licensed Nurses.
  • Recruit, develop and retain team members, ensuring an effective orientation and on board training.
  • Act as liaison for conflict resolution between staff, patients, family members and physicians

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Must have current
    New Jersey RN license with a degree
    (BSN) from an accredited school of professional nursing.

Minimum 5 years' experience as a licensed RN in a community-based setting; preferably memory care.

  • Must have
    STRONG CLINICAL:
  • Must have management experience (staffing and training).
  • Must have working knowledge of scientific and medical principles necessary to provide competent nursing care.
  • Must have current knowledge of the normal dosage, action, contraindications, and common side effects of medications in common use.
  • Must be willing and able to act as a teacher, a supervisor and a mentor to a staff of varying levels of skill.
  • Must be able to relate to and respect individuals of different cultural, ethnic, and educational backgrounds.
  • Must have excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Must be resourceful to identify problems and facilitate a resolution and willing to serve as a resource that other staff can use for professional advisement.
  • Must be able and willing to consistently convey a professional and positive image when representing the organization.
  • Must have ability to be On-Call
