Our client, the Darmstadt Children's Hospitals, is a modern specialist clinic and one of the largest and most powerful of its kind. The facility has 150 beds and provides comprehensive acute pediatric care for the region.

We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Director (m/f/d) to lead the recently renovated Children's Intensive Care Unit. This unit, which includes a separate neonatology department, provides intensive therapy for children from infancy to adolescence. You will be supported by a team of six resident physicians (m/f/d) for day and front-line duties, as well as four senior physicians (m/f/d) who will assist with intensive care background duties. The Children's Intensive Care Unit has 7 beds and covers the entire spectrum of pediatric intensive care. Approximately 260 young patients are treated here each year.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will lead the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and actively contribute to new developments in an expanding environment.
  • You will expand the unit's intensive care collaborations and treatment options.
  • You will organize and participate in the background duties of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
  • You will be responsible for training and mentoring young colleagues in the field of pediatric intensive care medicine.
