    Job Description
    The University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) is seeking a QA Engineer to join in the Quality Assurance team.

    This person will participate in the review of processing, testing, and release of GMP radiochemical products and assist the Quality unit in fulfilling the Quality System needs of the organization.

    This position is part of an approved Career Progression Plan within the Quality Assurance Department and will report to the Quality Assurance Lead.


    Responsibilities and duties include:


    Performing batch release of radioisotopes which includes product labeling review, QC Chemistry and Microbiology testing review, and batch record execution review.

    Controlled material review and release which includes vendor COA review, notebook reviews, label review, and confirmation of conformance according to Material Specification Sheets.

    Collaboration with subject matter experts and management to complete QA review of deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.

    Provide support and guidance to Production staff and Quality Control staff in daily activities and collaborate with other departments to reach common goals.

    Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Scope may be within QA-related processes or across the GMP program.

    Ability to learn then apply GMP quality system concepts and practices including risk based decision making, root cause analysis, and identifying effective CAPAs.

    Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualities/skills: Excellent attention to detail, teamwork, interpersonal and written communication skills, constructive facilitation of issue resolution, program knowledge for guidance of others, and persuasive communications with exceptional organizational and time management skills.

    Must be available for reliable and consistent onsite work.
    Shift
    Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm w/ occasional evenings and weekends, to be discussed in interview.

    Minimum Qualifications

    A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
    Additional licensures are necessary as required by regulatory authorities

    Preferred Qualifications
    Preference given to candidates with at least 5 years GMP experience. Further preference to candidates with experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role.
    Anticipated Hiring Range

    Salary Range:
    $55,000 -$75,000
